Consultation on Women and the Criminal Justice System – Tell Fawcett your views
Have you experienced the criminal justice system as:
- a woman working in the police, probation service, prison service or the legal profession?
- as a female victim of crime or suspect or offender?
- have you worked in an organisation that works with female offenders or female victims of crime?
Fawcett‘s Commission on Women and the Criminal Justice System is collecting evidence for its final report. The Commission focuses on three facets of women’s experiences of the criminal justice system – women victims and survivors of crime; women accused or convicted of criminal offences; and women working in the system.
We are interested in the experiences of women working within the criminal justice system, women who have experienced the criminal justice system as suspects, defendants or offenders as well as the experiences of women victims and survivors of crime.
We would also welcome views from organisations working with female offenders, victims and survivors of crime or reform of the criminal justice system.
