Outline Description

MANAGER – BRISTOL RAPE CRISIS

Bristol Rape Crisis is a newly established voluntary organisation, set up to meet the needs of women who have experienced sexual violence, to provide independent information, advice and advocacy and to work towards the prevention of sexual violence. The organisation has secured a contract with Bristol City Council to deliver a confidential support service in Bristol.

We are seeking a knowledgeable, energetic and committed person to develop this service. Responsibilities will include managing Bristol Rape Crisis on a day-to-day basis, supervising volunteers, and working strategically at local and national level. There is a hardworking and enthusiastic management committee in place to support the work of the centre.

The successful applicant will be required to work within the ethos of the Rape Crisis Movement and work to the principles of equal opportunities.

This post is restricted to female applicants only (Section 7(2) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975). Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced CRB check prior to commencement of employment.
