Come To The Feminist Fightback Strategy Day
Come To The Feminist Fightback Strategy Day
* Sunday 29th March from 11.30pm-5pm
* The Arbour Community Centre, 100 Shandy St., (nearest tube Stepney Green)
It’s just over a year and a half since Feminist Fightback began meeting regularly as a collective. Since then we’ve been involved in a lot of activity (pickets, direct actions, marches, teach-ins and meetings) around three main areas – reproductive freedom, no borders and women workers.
We want now to take a step back and think about our longer-term strategies, and to take seriously the question of how we can fight to win. What are our goals and what are the links in the chain that will enable us to get there? How can we work most effectively as a collective?
Topics for discussion on the day will include:
* Building a left feminist alliance – how well did Gender/Race/Class achieve this aim? What should we do now?
* How can we enable new activists in Fightback to take ownership, and for all of us to develop our skills?
* What were our most successful actions last year, how should we continue to work in these areas and what can we do better next time?
