the nia project is a charity which provides services for women and children who have experienced violence against women including domestic violence. Our offices are located in Islington and Hackney
the nia project Family Support Services team are looking for two enthusiastic play workers to help run this year’s Easter playscheme which runs from 6 April -17 April 2009 (excluding bank holidays)
Holiday Playscheme Worker
Salary £8.50 per hour
32 hrs per week
You will have experience in developing and running play sessions which promote social, emotional, cognitive and physical development for each child as well as providing opportunities for free play and fun for children aged five to sixteen years affected by gender violence.
A relevant level two qualification in childcare or equivalent would be acceptable. i.e. Play Work or Youth Work.
These posts are open to women only under S7 (2) (e) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975. Successful candidates will be required to undertake an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure.
