Imece Turkish Speaking Women’s Group is looking to fill 2 vacancies as follows

DIRECTOR

Imece– Turkish Speaking Women’s Group is a professional and vibrant voluntary sector organisation which provides high quality services to meet the needs of Turkish/Kurdish/Turkish Cypriot women.

A sensitive and highly respected community organisation, run by women for women from its North London base, Imece operates culturally sensitive and gender specific generic services to its user group within the framework of Legal Services Commission.

This is an exciting and challenging role for a visionary strategic female leader to grow and develop the organisation and seize new opportunities to further expand. We would be pleased to hear from you if you are a Turkish speaking woman fluent in English (Kurdish is highly desirable as an additional language) and have relevant experience of working at a senior level in voluntary organisations. The position requires strong organisational and planning skills and commitment to providing high quality frontline services.

P/T Female Advice Worker
Fixed-term contract until 31.03.2011
Salary: £23,337 – 24,690 per annum (Pro-rata)

We are a women only organisation providing a number of services to Turkish/Kurdish/Turkish Cypriot women. The post need some experience of working with women, providing advice within a framework of Legal Services Commission and understanding of issues effecting women, particularly gender based violence against women.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative woman to join our team. This project involves providing advice and information in welfare benefits, domestic violence, housing, immigration, and education within the framework of Legal Services Commission. We would be pleased to hear from you if you are a Turkish speaking woman fluent in English (Kurdish is highly desirable as an additional language) and have relevant experience of working with Turkish/Kurdish/Turkish Cypriot women and advice work is essential for this position.
