On Sunday 14 June, 2-4pm, Stratford library plays host to a special screening event of Jewish Mothers & Daughters. This Heritage Lottery funded film archive explores London and the UK’s diverse cultural history through the experiences of fifty Jewish women living in the UK.
Following the screening there will be a talk by Oona King, former MP for Bethanl Green and Bow who features in the film, discussing her double heritage and how it has framed her life and experience.
Oona, the newly-appointed Head of Diversity at Channel 4, will be in conversation with playwright, director and producer of the archive, Julia Pascal. There will also be a Q&A session with the audience.
