Eaves is a London-based charity working to support vulnerable women through the provision of a range of complementary direct and second tier services. The organisation is looking to recruit two exceptional individuals for the following post:
Support Worker
Eaves Women’s Aid (Female) – Salary SP26 – SP30, £25,263 – £28,485 pa pro rata
Fixed-term contract to 31 March 2010 – London
As a Support Worker at this scheme, which provides accommodation and support to single homeless women with complex needs and dual diagnosis who may have a history of abuse, you will participate in a 24-hour shift rota including work at the weekends and sleep-ins. A sleep-in allowance is paid in addition to the basic salary.
Skilled in working with vulnerable women, you will be committed to supporting women with a range of issues including drug and alcohol misuse, mental health issues and exiting prostitution. Using your knowledge of the issues facing women, together with your excellent planning and case work skills, you will provide advocacy and support. You will also signpost clients for specialist support and co-ordinate the work of various agencies on their behalf.
