New Advice and Support Centre for Women – Eaves
In July 2009 Eaves will be launching an advice and support drop in women’s centre, for women affected by domestic violence, rape, sexual abuse, women at risk of homelessness and women who have additional needs such as mental health and substance misuse.
Eaves advice and support centre will provide a number of services under one roof to address the immediate and long term needs of women:
* Resettlement Service targeting women aged 18-65
* Young Women’s Service targeting women aged 16-24
* Advice and support centre staff providing advice, advocacy and support in substance misuse
* Counselling Service in partnership with the Minster Centre
* London Exit Action Project [LEAP] who will be developing routes out of prostitution for women in London
Referrals are open to all women in need and agencies London wide, who will in addition to the above, have access and benefit from group support sessions, workshops, and a resource room with up to date information regarding welfare benefits, housing, legal rights, education and training to name but a few.
