Refuge is a national charity which provides a lifeline for women and children escaping domestic violence. Refuge is seeking to recruit high calibre female* professionals for a range of posts across our organisation.

Female* Refuge Workers

C. £26,000 pa inc ILW Location: London
Your role will entail providing invaluable practical and emotional support to women and their children, such as advocacy, support around welfare, housing and legal entitlements, and supporting women to move on to safe and permanent accommodation.
The above post requires excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and the ability to be a proactive team player. You must have experience of providing support to women and knowledge of current welfare rights/civil/criminal legislation relating to domestic violence. A recognised social work/counselling or housing qualification would be desirable.
Working as part of an on-call rota is required for the post.
Female* Domestic Violence Services Manager

(Asian** Communities) Location: Richmond
C. £36,000 pa inc ILW
Responsible for managing the delivery of refuge and floating support services in Richmond, as well as a specialist Asian women’s refuge, you will ensure that a secure and supportive environment for women and children escaping domestic violence is provided.
This role requires a strategic and versatile individual, with proven experience of managing, developing and motivating staff.
Please note that you must be able to demonstrate experience of providing support to Asian women and should be able to speak at least one Asian language.
The above post requires candidates with excellent interpersonal, budget management and report writing skills. You must also have knowledge of domestic violence issues, housing, welfare and experience of working in either a women’s refuge/residential setting. A recognised social work/housing/management qualification would be desirable.
On-call work will be required for the management post.
Female* Peripatetic Domestic Violence Workers

C. £27,000 pa inc ILW
This is an exciting new opportunity for experienced Support Workers. You will deliver a high quality professional service to abused women living in our refuges and those who access our floating support services. Your role is to support colleagues by filling gaps created in the service by absence and annual leave and you will be required to work from any of the above services.
The above post requires excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and the ability to be a proactive team player. You must have experience of providing support to women and knowledge of current welfare rights/civil/criminal legislation relating to domestic violence. A recognised social work/counselling or housing qualification would be desirable.

Responsible for managing the delivery of refuge services in South London, you will ensure that a secure and supportive environment for women and children escaping domestic violence is provided. Your proven experience of managing, developing and motivating staff will complement your versatility which is required for this role.

You must also have knowledge of domestic violence issues, housing, welfare and experience of working in either a women’s refuge/residential setting.
