Woman’s Trust is a registered charity based in London which provides counselling and support to women affected by domestic violence. We run training for front-line staff and cross-borough advocacy services for women in Westminster, RBKC & Greenwich.
Female Advocacy Manager – Greenwich
* Full–time 35hrs per week
* £32,213
* Temporary contract to 31.3.2010 subject to possible extension pending the outcome of funding decision due later in the year
* Section 7.2(E) of the Sex Discrimination Act applies.
Woman’s Trust seeks an experienced Advocacy Manager to manage and support this service.
Requirements
* Experience of fundraising for an organisation
* 3 years experience of working with issues of domestic violence, including working directly with women clients
* Experience of working in or managing a similar project
* Experience of providing domestic violence safety planning
* Knowledge of the law, legal and welfare rights relating to domestic violence
* Experience of dealing with high risk victims of domestic violence/abuse
* Experience of managing the caseload referred to MARAC and representing the voice of the victim at MARAC
* Experience of work with women from black and minority ethnic communities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Female Independent Domestic Violence Advocate – Greenwich
* Part–time equivalent to 21hrs per week
* £27,668 pro rata
* Temporary contract to 31.3.2010 subject to possible extension pending the outcome of funding decision due later in the year
* Section 7.2(E) of the Sex Discrimination Act applies.
Requirements
* Two years experience of working with victims/survivors of domestic violence
* Experience of multi-agency working with a range of statutory and voluntary organisations
* Excellent literary and administrative skills including ability in information technology and data collection
