Women’s Radio Group broadcasts monthly
At the moment WRG is broadcasting online once a month in order to give trainees the opportunity to practice their production and presenting skills. We have been developing the schedule over the past few months and hope to build it into programming that will attract a larger audience.
The content we have so far been producing falls into several categories:
1. Arts related – either features of studio guests talking about their work
2. General interest magazine
3. Current affairs magazine and discussion
4. Issues around gender, feminism and women’s rights
5. World music
If you have had experience of radio production you could suggest an idea for a programme – either live or pre-recorded – that you want to produce, or if you are interested in gaining experience of presenting you could be linked with someone who wants to produce. We are also looking for pre-recorded interviews, features or people who want to be studio guests. You should initially contact me directly and I will either respond myself or pass it on to one of the regular producers. You can also contact me to find out about our production policies regarding guests and playing music.
The next broadcast is Wednesday September 30th, and most of these slots have now been filled, but we are starting to prepare for the October broadcast now.
