Floating Support Worker – Refuge – 15th September 2009

Refuge is a national charity, which provides a lifeline for women and children escaping domestic violence. We have the following opportunity for a committed female* applicant:

Floating Support Worker
Ref: 4338/FSW
C. £26,000 pa inc ILW
Location: Southwark

You will have experience of supporting women in a community or social work setting, an understanding of domestic violence issues and a good knowledge of current welfare rights and domestic violence legislation. You should also have excellent case management skills, experience of liaising with external agencies and good written and verbal communication skills. This post involves travel throughout Southwark.

In this front-line role you will assist women to move to a life free from abuse, using individual support plans as tools to develop a strategy for each woman.
