Female Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) – Advance – 16th November 2009
ADVANCE is a nationally recognised domestic violence advocacy project working to a coordinated multi-agency response in the London Boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham and Brent.
ADVANCE is looking for:
A FEMALE INDEPENDENT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ADVISOR (IDVA). THERE ARE 2 POSTS.
* One is permanent (Brent) and one is fixed term (Hammersmith) for 6 months with a view to being extended subject to funding.
* Salary: S01 Point 29 £27,668 inc ILW
You must be able to work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention service and have a good understanding of the dynamics and effects of domestic violence. Experience of; the Criminal and Civil justice systems; face-to-face work with survivors of domestic violence; risk assessment; risk management and safety planning is essential.
Working hours are 35hrs a week 10am – 6pm, plus out of hours on-call work on a rota basis from a mobile at home 1 week in every 8.
Successful applicant/s will require an enhanced CRB check and are subject to 6 months probationary period.
