Female Resettlement Team Leader
Maternity Locum up to 1 year
– 35 hours
– £30,843
– London
We are looking for a Resettlement Team Leader to manage a team working to:
- Prepare and assist women and children to resettle into permanent accommodation
- Develop strategies to prevent young women from becoming homeless
- Reach women across London through the provision of support through a range of activities and workshops.
You must have knowledge and understanding of the complexity of homelessness, and of issues experienced by women who misuse substances and have experienced different forms of abuse as well as knowledge of the procedures and issues associated with resettlement.
You will need well developed written and oral communication skills and the ability to supervise other staff.
This post will involve working evenings and Saturdays on a rota basis.
Female Team Leader Outreach Services
- 35 hours
– £32,211 to £34,707
– London
As a Team Leader, you will manage a team of specialist Senior Support Outreach Workers to provide services for female victims of trafficking. You will also develop links with our operational partners to secure positive outcomes for victims of trafficking.
You must have knowledge and understanding of the complex circumstances of women who have been trafficked, including immigration and asylum processes, and have well-developed written and oral communication skills.
You will also have:
- Experience and knowledge of managing complex caseloads
- Significant and in-depth experience of direct work with vulnerable women
- Substantial experience of supervising staff.
Two Female Exiting Prostitution Development Workers
London
1 post 28 hours per week £28,485 – £32,211 – pro rata
1 post 35 hours per week £28,485 – £32,211
Funded by London Councils to develop routes out of prostitution for women in London, these posts will play a crucial factor in promoting exiting strategies for women involved in prostitution through targeted outreach and support, and research into prostitution and exit strategies.
You will need:
- Experience of supporting women in prostitution
- Understanding of the complex needs of women in both on-street and off-street prostitution
- Knowledge of exiting strategies and/or a willingness to develop this knowledge.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering group work and training for women in prostitution, providing them with the skills, knowledge and confidence to exit prostitution and exploitative situations
- Researching and keeping up-to-date with issues relevant to prostitution and exiting
- Signposting and referring women to specialist support services.
This post will involve working evenings and Saturdays on a rota basis.
Female Amina Worker (Readvertisement)
– Part Time 21 hours
– £28,485 to £32,211 – pro rata
– London
The Amina Project is a ground breaking peer-led service for women who have experienced sexual violence. Through its befriending scheme Amina provides support for women who have been raped, sexually assaulted or abused at any time in their lives. A vacancy has arisen for a part time worker to join the Team.
You will be responsible for:
- Recruiting and training volunteers to promote the scheme.
- Co-ordinating and supporting volunteers to deliver a front line service.
You must have:
- Knowledge of issues and legislation relating to different forms of sexual violence.
- Experience of providing advocacy and support to vulnerable women.
This post will involve working evenings and Saturdays on a rota basis.
