Win A Trip To Cannes And Meet World Renowned Photographers
One lucky young photographer has the chance of winning two round trip flights** to Cannes, France, plus two nights accommodation, to attend the annual Sony World Photography Awards ceremony and week-long event produced by the World Photography Organisation.
The talented young photographer will have the opportunity to meet the organisation leaders and world-renowned photographers.
**The winning youth must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to be granted this prize.
The theme for the first photomonth youth award is Children’s Rights in support of the 20th Anniversary of the UNICEF Convention of the Rights of the Child, the most endorsed human rights treaty in the world. It declares five fundamental children’s rights:
- Every child has the right to
1) a childhood,
2) be educated,
3) be healthy,
4) be treated fairly,
5) be heard.

Entrants must be 11 to 19 years old and resident in the UK.
Up to three images may be submitted per entrant, stating which of the five fundamental children’s rights is the theme of each photograph, where and when taken.
Deadline for submission 14 December 2009
The winner will be announced in January 2010 and travel to receive their Award in Cannes in April 2010.
The winning entry will also be exhibited during photomonth 2010.
