Amina Scheme Seeks Volunteers
Could you speak out about sexual violence?
We’re looking for volunteers who can.
Amina volunteers are women who have experienced sexual violence. They give two to three hours a week to help other women deal with the effects of rape, sexual assault and abuse.
We’re looking for six more volunteer to join us in 2010.
The Amina Scheme is run by Eaves. It trains women who have experienced sexual violence to support other women. We offer our volunteers comprehensive training, travel expenses and childcare costs during training as well as emotional support through independent, counsellor lead, support groups.
Best of all, we offer the chance to use your experiences to help someone else.
We would particularly welcome applications from disabled women.
To send for an application form or for a chat about the scheme call Cat on 020 7840 7159 or email amina@eaveshousing.co.uk
