Bag packing Marks & Spencer, Enfield Town – Help raise money for Enfield Women’s Centre

Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th December. 11.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. each day

In the run up to Christmas Enfield Women’s Centre has been offered the opportunity to have teams of EWC people at every check out in the Marks and Spencer food section to assist people by packing their shop-ping into bags. In exchange for this we can have buckets on the counter to collect donations.

If you have an hour or more to spare on either of these days, we would love to have you lend a hand. We would like enough people to help us to work a rota. People may have seen the scouts doing a similar activity in stores and supermarkets. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to reach as many people as possible, not just to fundraise but also to raise the profile of our organisation and the work we do in the community.

We really need an army of volunteers. There are 9 – 10 tills and we hope to allow three people between two tills to be realistic. More would be better. Also we would need to work in shifts al-lowing people to take breaks regularly.

So – round up the family and friends and ask them to do a couple of hours. Even if you are unable to join in the bag packing, perhaps you could call in at the store and put a few pennies in the buckets!
