Walks for Women & their Families – Enfield Women’s Centre – January to April 2010
An opportunity to meet new people, whilst wandering through beautiful parks and countryside
These social walks, for women & their families (includes male family members, children & dogs on leads!), generally last about 2 hours & cover mixed terrain.
We offer minibus transport to more remote parks and ask for a donation towards the costs – £2.00 per adult & £1.00 per child. Please call the Centre (by 4.00 p.m. on Friday) to book a place on the minibus.
Sunday 3rd January – 1.00 p.m.
Cheshunt Gravel Pits – meet at Pindar car park (Station Road, Cheshunt) for a walk around the lakes and along the river Lee to shake free of the festive cobwebs.
Sunday 7th February – 1.30 p.m.
Forty Hall – meet in main car park by the steps
Saturday 6th March – 12 noon
Million Women Rise – Hyde Park Speakers Corner. Rally calling for an end to violence against women and girls
Sunday 4th April – 2.00 p.m.
Trent Park – meet at cafeteria, access off Cockfosters Road.
For your own comfort and safety please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
If the walk leaders feel your footwear is unsuitable they will not take you on the walk.
