Outline Description |
The Arbour is an independent charity working in Tower Hamlets. The post holder will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering the ‘BME Young Women’s Social Inclusion Project’ to disadvantaged young BME women in Tower Hamlets. The project aims to increase participation and integration of young newly arrived BME women in Tower Hamlets who have migrated to UK in the past year to join their husbands. The BME Young Women’s Social Inclusion project focuses on improving their English language skills and life skills. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of practical ESOL classes accredited through OCN, organisation of offsite educational activities and tailor-made support to students. You’ll need good organisational ability to manage an extensive and varied workload, along with excellent communication skills inc. session preparation, training development, reports etc. The ability to plan, administer and deliver trainings and projects is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in women’s work and community development. |
