Outreach Workers – Hillcroft College For Women – 11th December 2009
With the help of a substantial grant from the BIG LOTTERY FUND Hillcroft College are developing our outreach networking activities into new targeted areas and groups across the country centred around Bristol/Leicester/Sunderland/London
This project focuses on women who are less likely to be involved in education or work.
We seek professionals who are self motivated, experienced in networking and are effective communicators to help us to establish partnerships and build relations with regional and national women¹s groups/charities. We are now recruiting:
Part Time Outreach Workers
(Minimum Average 1 Day A Week) £18k – £27k (Pro Rata)
depending on experience and qualifications – 12 month contracts initially.
Applicants for these posts must be experienced in outreach networking in the community. They must also have worked with one or more of the following targeted groups:
* Women with pre school children or in early years education
* Women with no formal education at level 2 (GCSE equiv)
* Women who are or have been longer term carers
* Women who are or have been on probation
* Women who have suffered domestic violence/homelessness
* Women who are particularly isolated belonging to black and ethnic minority groups
These posts will suit people who are well organised with ideas and have sound knowledge of their local area. Experience in working with adults in education is desirable. Those appointed must be able to work flexibly and some evening and week-end work will be necessary. Willingness to work across regions might be helpful.
