Team leader and Outreach Worker – Hillcroft College – 11th December 2009
With the help of a substantial grant from the BIG LOTTERY FUND Hillcroft College is developing our outreach networking activities into new targeted areas across the country centred around Bristol/Leicester/Sunderland/London
This project focuses on women who are less likely to be involved in education or work.
We seek professionals who are self motivated, experienced in networking and are effective communicators to help us to establish partnerships and build relations with regional and national women¹s groups/charities. We are now recruiting:
A Full Time Team Leader And Outreach Worker
(35 Hours A Week) Up to £31K – 3 year contract – Based in London
Applicants must hold a recognised teaching qualification and have worked in education with adults. They will also have experience in outreach networking activity in the community in one or more of the following targeted groups:
* Women with pre school children or in early years education
* Women with no formal education at level 2 (GCSE equiv)
* Women who are or have been longer term carers
* Women who are or have been on probation
* Women who have suffered domestic violence/homelessness
* Women who are particularly isolated belonging to black and ethnic minority groups
The Team Leader must be able to work flexibly and some weekend and evening work will be involved. The Team Leader will also be expected to travel to the targeted regions.
