Safe Choices Project
Safe Choices aims to reduce and prevent violent offending by young women, including gun, knife and gang related crime and enables them to engage in positive activities and mainstream services. Safe Choices also delivers a training and consultancy service to develop good practice across the youth sector. This is a partnership project bringing together the expertise of the nia project, The Children’s Society and The Makeda Weaver Project (Shian Housing Association) and operates in Hackney, Haringey, Lewisham and Greenwich.
This project is funded by the Department of Children Schools and Families through the Youth Sector Development Fund until 31 March 2011. We have the following vacancy:
Safe Choices Finance and Administration Officer
Based in Islington
NJC Scale 27-30 plus Inner London Weighting pro rata
21 hours/week (part-time)
6 month contract
The Finance and Administration Officer works closely with the project manager and is responsible for accurate and efficient finance and administration systems across the project. Responsibilities include: monitoring and administering the project budget, contributing to monthly and quarterly returns to the funding body, developing and maintaining efficient administrative systems, quality assurance across the project, liaising with external stakeholders and partners and providing infra-structure support for the smooth running of the project services.
