Wandsworth Women’s Aid is a proactive and committed organisation offering safe accommodation and support to women and children experiencing domestic violence.
Refuge Support Worker
This post provides an opportunity to work with women who have experienced domestic violence.
* You will support the women who stay in our refuges by listening and responding to their needs; by offering advice and advocacy; by working with them on an individual and group basis and by liaising with external agencies to deliver a comprehensive support service
* You will manage one of three properties and be responsible for the Health and Safety of the client group
* You will coordinate and deliver workshops and training activities across our project
Applicants will need to demonstrate
* Commitment to services for women and children affected by domestic violence.
* Proven experience of work in a relevant field with an understanding of welfare benefits /housing/health and safety and safeguarding
* Experience of Support and Risk Assessment Planning
* Initiative, commitment and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Salary is £27,142 per annum
35 hours per week
Benefits include 25 days leave
