Volunteers wanted for Eaves Amina Scheme – deadline extended to mid January

Could you help women affected by sexual violence?

Amina volunteers are women who have experienced sexual violence. They are women who have overcome their experiences, grown stronger from them, and feel they can give two to three hours a week to help other women deal with the effects of rape, sexual assault and abuse.

We’re looking for eight more volunteers to join us in 2010.

The Amina Scheme is run by Eaves. It trains women who have experienced sexual violence to support other women. We offer our volunteers comprehensive training, travel expenses and childcare costs during training as well as emotional support through independent, counsellor lead, support groups.

Best of all, we offer the chance to use your experiences to help someone else.

For a chat about the scheme call Cat on 020 7840 7959 or email amina@eaveshousing.co.uk
