Professional Exchange Seminar: Young Women and Violence 2 – WRC – 16th March 2010
Tuesday 16 March from 9.30am to 2pm
The Resource Centre, Holloway Road
This seminar will be a great opportunity to hear from agencies that are working with young women and are at the forefront of best practice in the field, as well as to network with other organisations working in this area.
Confirmed speakers:
* Jenny Comery, FORWARD
* Kristine Balfour and Sally Seex, Barnardo’s Young Women’s Project
* Shaminder Ubhi, Ashiana Network
You will come away from the seminar with:
* a deeper awareness and understanding of the issues around young women and violence
* a range of useful tools and creative ways to engage in working with young women
If you would like to reserve a place on this FREE seminar, please email ellen@wrc.org.uk

This seminar follows on from the success of October’s Young Women and Violence Professional Exchange Seminar (PES), which included speakers on gang violence and forced marriage. After the seminar on March 16, WRC will pull together the information from the two Young Women and Violence PESs and will put this into a Good Practice Guide for working with young women affected by violence, which we hope will be available by the end of April.
