Walks for Women & their Families – Enfield Women’s Centre – May to August 2010
An opportunity to meet new people, whilst wandering through beautiful parks and countryside
These social walks, for women & their families (includes male family members, children & dogs on leads!), generally last about 2 hours & cover mixed terrain.
Enfield Women’s Centre offer minibus transport to more remote parks and ask for a donation towards the costs – £2.00 per adult & £1.00 per child. Please call the Centre (by 4.00 p.m. on Friday) to book a place on the minibus.
For your own comfort and safety please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. The walks cover mixed terrain and it may be muddy underfoot. If the walk leaders feel your footwear is unsuitable they will not take you on the walk.

Meet at St Paul‘s tube station. Exit 2, or contact of-fice to travel as a group.
London Walk – Shakespeare & Dickens London – the London which inspired Shakespeare and Dickens. See everything from superb half-timbered Elizabethan dwellings and a magnificent early 16th-century gatehouse to the crooked little alleys of Dickens‘s novels.
Cost £7.00 adults, £5.00 super adults (65+) and full time students (with ID); under-15‘s free with parent/carer. Pay guide on the day.

Epping Forest – meet at car park at Connaught Water, first car park on left past the Royal Forest Hotel, Rangers Road, or book space on EWC minibus.

Gravel Pits Walk and option to visit Lea Valley Park Farm. Beautiful scenery, lakes and wildlife.
Go to car park by the lake at the end of Stubbins Hall Lane, off B194 from Waltham Abbey roundabout or book space on EWC minibus.
You may wish to visit the farm: admission adult £7; Concession (2-16 years or senior citizen) £5.60, family tickets from £23.00
Alternatively you can join others for a cup of tea in the farm shop.
