Domestic Violence Co-ordinator – LAWA – 23rd April 2010
LAWA, a Women’s Refuge and Advice Centre, offers practical and emotional support, and temporary accommodation, to Latin American women and their children fleeing domestic violence within an empowering framework. We are looking for:
F/T Domestic Violence Co-ordinator
Full Time 35 hours p/w
Contract: Three years
Salary: Scp 34 plus NIC which is a total of £35.719 including Inner London Weighting
You will advise women experiencing domestic and/or sexual violence on their options, carry out risk assessments, do safety planning and make supported referrals. You will have experience managing projects, as well as experience working with vulnerable Latin American Women, advocacy work and understanding of issues relating to violence experienced by Latin American Women and girls. Fluency in English & Spanish essential, Portuguese would be desirable.
