Research Intern – Refuge – 23rd April 2010
Refuge, the national domestic violence charity, is looking for a capable and enthusiastic graduate intern to work on an exciting research project, which will research challenges and promising practice, across a range of service sectors in London attempting to meet the needs of infants, toddlers and young people affected by domestic violence.
If you have recently graduated and are looking for a placement to help you break into the world of charities or research or you are hoping to change careers and need some experience in the charity sector, we would love to hear from you. You will be based at our head office in Tower Hill, central London, and we will reimburse your travel costs within London.
You will gain valuable research experience and also experience of:
* understanding a range of services for children and young people affected by domestic violence
* working independently and in a team in a busy office environment;
* independent project management;
* effective communication with people both internal and external to the organisation;
* working for an organisation that provides services to victims of domestic violence, gained by shadowing members of staff in other departments.
