Women in Prison – Supporting and campaigning for women offenders and ex-offenders
DO WOMEN BELONG IN PRISON?
Women in Prison says NO. We are a national charity run by women for women. We provide specialist services to women offenders and ex-offenders, in prison and in the community throughout England, with offices in London, Manchester and York.

We are looking for an inspirational director to lead our Senior Management team and drive our strategic and campaigning work and the delivery of pioneering services.
Your principal role will be to maintain and develop Women in Prison’s position at the cutting edge of penal reform. This is an exciting, high profile challenge and opportunity to influence the way in which women are treated in the criminal justice system.
You will have extensive senior service management/delivery experience within a front-line organisation, preferably with women, and be committed to the provision of women-only services. You will have the ability to develop and sustain partnerships and joint working with a broad spectrum of allies and funders. You will know how to lead a growing organisation (currently a team of 35) at a time of change and have an open and empowering leadership style.
Above all, you will be totally committed to the ethos, vision and mission of Women in Prison, including our belief that most women offenders need support not punishment.
