Solace Women’s Aid has the following vacancies:

Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA)

This will be a new post based in Camden. The post holder will join a well-established team of IDVAS/ISVAS. You will need experience of working with women who have experienced either sexual or domestic violence. The ISVA will provide support to women who have experienced rape and/or sexual assault, either recently or historically whether or not they choose to report to the police.

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2011
Salary: NJC Scale point 28-30 (£27,009 – £28,770) inclusive OLW. Plus 3% matched contribution to in house pension scheme.

Research Project Co-ordinator

This post will support Solace Women’s Domestic Violence longitudinal research project funded by the National Lottery through Big Lottery Fund for four years and run in partnership with the Child and Women Abuse Studies Unit at London Metropolitan University.

The research will look at how women and children affected by domestic violence become safer, healthier and fulfil their personal and civic potential; how they improve their life skills; and how they access education and training. This is a new project and will be based in Camden. The project is outcome based and does require the collection of data and reporting to funders.

The post requires a minimum of one year’s experience of working with a diverse group of vulnerable women and experience of maintaining systems for data collection and report writing. An understanding of the role research plays in policy development is desirable.

Contract: Fixed Term Contract Four Years
3.5 days per week (24.5 hours). 30 days annual leave per annum pro rata
Public Holidays pro rata.
Salary: Salary scale NJC Scale 26-30 (£25,515 – £28,770 pro rata) inclusive of ILW Plus 3% matched contribution to in house pension scheme
