The Foundation for Women’s Health Research and Development (FORWARD) is an African Diaspora women’s advocacy and support organisation. We work to safeguard and advance the sexual and reproductive health and rights of African women and girls, and tackle harmful practices such as female genital mutilation (FGM) and child and forced marriages. Our vision is that women and girls live in dignity, are healthy, have choices and equal opportunities. FORWARD’s mission is to educate the public, advocate for enabling policies, provide support services and empower vulnerable women and girls.
We seek a dynamic and experienced Head of Programmes to join the senior management team of FORWARD. You will be required to provide leadership, oversee the planning, management and delivery of the national community and youth programmes that support migrant and refugee communities that practice FGM. The role requires experience in people management, partnership working, facilitation skills, programme development and the women’s voluntary sector.
