London Irish Women’s Centre – Advice, Information and Counselling for women of Irish & Irish Traveller birth and descent in London since 1983

Advice and Outreach Worker

Salary £21 – £23k depending on experience plus 7.5% employer pension contribution.

We are looking for an experienced Advice & Outreach worker with at least 18 months working knowledge of welfare benefits and housing. A knowledge of debt advice is also desirable. You will manage a client caseload and report to the Advice Co-ordinator.

LIWC is a CLS Quality Marked service and you will be expected to have a knowledge of standards required and an understanding of the issues facing Irish women in London. We are seeking to develop our outreach and you will be involved with establishing and maintaining links with other Irish organisations across the capital.

Trainee Advice Worker

Salary £20k

There is also the opportunity for a candidate with the right attitude and aptitude for advice work to join our team as a trainee. A background in advice work is desirable and the training programme for a suitable candidate will be tailored as required.
