Invitation to Tender for Provision of Clinical Supervision to staff at Solace Women’s Aid

Solace Women’s Aid provides a range of support services to women and children who have experienced domestic and sexual violence.

In order to support staff in working with traumatised women and children SWA provides group clinical supervision on a monthly basis.

The aim of this provision is to:
a) Assist in securing boundaries so staff are able to develop their understanding of the impact of trauma on them as workers
b) Explore and discuss their feelings which arise from cases they are dealing with
c) Develop peer support

Line management and case supervision is provided aside from clinical supervision and so clinical supervision does not deal with line management or general staffing issues.

SWA is now seeking Clinical Supervisor(s) specialising in Domestic Violence & Sexual Abuse with a humanistic approach (or person centred approach/women centred approach), with a background in feminist theory. You must have a commitment to working with different diverse groups and a working understanding of the issues faced by staff working with women presenting with abuse. You must also be able to separate the boundary between clinical supervision and line management and general staffing issues.
