the nia project provides a wide range of services for women and children who have experienced domestic violence and other forms of gender violence.
Outreach Worker (Problematic Substance Use)
As part of the London Council’s funding of the Emma Project there is a vacancy to deliver training and capacity building between domestic violence and substance use agencies pan London.
Part time (14 hrs/week) including some evenings and weekends
£26, 928 pro rata p.a. (including London weighting)
Term: presently funded until 31 March 2011 with possible extension.
The Outreach worker (problematic substance use) will liaise with strategic leads in domestic violence and substance use agencies in targeted boroughs, to promote interagency work in order to improve holistic service provision for women experiencing violence. The post holder will organize and deliver training and networking events and conduct follow up monitoring of the effectiveness of the intervention.
The post holder will have experience of designing and delivering training and be familiar with the impact of and crossover between problematic substance use and domestic violence. She will be confident about meeting with and presenting to strategic leads.
