In 1910, women chainmakers from Cradley Heath in the Black Country came together to protest and strike against their very low wages. This seminal moment led to the right for a minimum wage.

To celebrate the centenary, join The Women’s Library and Baroness Margaret Prosser OBE, Dr Catherine Hunt, Senior Lecturer in History at Coventry University and Chris Coates, TUC library Collections and watch a special film screening of Sarah Boston’s ‘Nothing to Lose: the strike of the women chainmakers, Cradley Heath 1910’.
