Please support WEN Firewalk Fundraiser
Three of our Spice It Up trainees have bravely accepted our invitation to join the WEN firewalk fundraiser this December 10th. They will be ambling across 20ft of burning hot coals to raise money for the Women’s Environmental Network. We are writing to ask if you would be willing to sponsor these courageous ladies in their stroll across the coals.
The women have been so inspired by the Spice It Up course and WEN’s work that they’ve decided to step outside their comfort zone to help WEN offer more food training to women.
WEN designed and delivers Spice It Up, a four weeks’ free organic food growing training for women in Tower Hamlets, one of the most economically deprived boroughs in London. This is what trainees say about the course:
‘The best course I’ve ever done.’
‘ A truly excellent course.’
‘The whole course was truly inspiring.’
‘The practical sessions and visit helped me understand how easily food can be grown.’
Women’s Environmental Network is the only charity in the UK consistently working for women and the environment. All money raised through the sponsored firewalk will help to support women’s food growing and climate change projects in some of London’s most deprived areas and will enable us to run new campaigns and projects in the future.
Thank you for any support that you can offer!
