Alternative Arts presents five of the finest female comics celebrating comedy writing at its most crucial.
LUCY PORTER Loveable and hugely likeable Lucy is always a big hit with audiences up and down the country with her elfin charm and killer delivery producing distinctive, bouncy, feel good comedy.
AVA VIDAL a cool and composed performer with an intriguing past. She was a teenage mum and she earned a living as a prison officer before turning to stand-up, a move inspired by watching Chris Rock.
ROISIN CONATY a seriously talented stand-up comedian/writer actress, she performs her hilarious and distinctive brand of comedy all over the UK creating an array of characters including the infamous ‘monopoly women’.
SUZI RUFFELL wants to be cool…but isn’t and she wants to talk about it. Smutty, sleazy and sweary is not what you will find with this newcomer. If you prefer social ineptitude, overbearing parents and tales of desperately trying to fit in, then she’ll be right up your street.
CARLY SMALLMAN sings funny songs. Her unique blend of outrageous impropriety and adorable sincerity has established her as a firm favourite in London clubs and beyond. Fresh, funny and endlessly creative she is one of the UK’s hottest young comedy improvisers.
