Refuge is the country’s largest specialist provider of domestic violence services for women and children escaping domestic violence. We are looking for Volunteers to work on the Helpline.

The 24 hour National Domestic Violence Helpline (run in partnership with Refuge and Women’s Aid) are recruiting female volunteers to answer the crisis Helpline which provides support, information and a listening ear to women experiencing domestic violence and to those seeking help on her behalf: to discuss the options available and, if appropriate, to refer a callers on to refuges and other sources of help and information.

We are seeking London based volunteers to cover a regular 4 hour shift, daytime hours Monday to Friday, between 9am and 6pm, who can commit to 100% of the training programme commencing May 2011.

CRB checks will be carried out and references sought.
