Volunteer for the Amina Scheme – Eaves
Could you spare around 2 hours a week to support a woman who’s been raped or sexually abused?
The Amina Scheme is looking for volunteers who have personal experience of rape or abuse, who feel that they could support women living with the effects of sexual violence. Amina pairs female volunteers who have experienced sexual violence in the past with women who are recovering. Women meet once a week to talk about the effects of sexual violence, and provide support and care.
You don’t need any previous experience, we provide full training, and all of your travel and expenses. We work around our volunteers, so even if you’re working you’re still welcome to apply. Your support can really make a difference to the lives of other women.
