A Women’s AV, Coalition and Cuts Agenda in 2011 – Survey Results Summary

We have very quickly compiled the results from our 2011 Women’s Agenda Survey:

They show that:

73% think women have the right to women only services
60% thought women only service providers experience was sometimes transferable to men’s service provision
38% thought faith based organisation should not be funded to provide services – and
38% thought faith based organisations should be monitored to ensure they did not use service provision as an opportunity to preach or convert

58% in total supported AV primarily because they hoped it would lead to PR
40% thought that a change to the voting system would NOT help women
31% thought it might help women

53% thought the cuts weren’t necessary
91% thought the cuts were driven by a Tory ideology
81% thought the LibDems had not done enough to challenge the Tories
62% thought Labour would have made fewer cuts

60% had suffered loss of funding in their work place
51% had experience staff cut backs at their work place
44% had seen a cut back in services offered
