Legal Advisors x 2 – Newham Asian Women’s Project – 27th May 2011
Newham Asian Women’s Project (NAWP) is a leading women’s organisation in East London. Set up in 1986 to provide specialist support services to Asian women and their children experiencing domestic violence, the project has since developed a range of other services to support Asian women and girls.
We are seeking two experienced Legal Advisors to work in our Legal Advice Service providing support, information and advice to women in the community.
The person should have the following skills:
* Experience in legal advice and information work, capacity building and advocacy including case management
* Experience working with issues such as domestic violence and sexual abuse and exploitation
* To be qualified to degree level
* Experience of monitoring and evaluation
* Ability to speak fluently one of the main South Asian languages
