DIY Electrics for Women on 25th June – final few places left – WAMT
DIY COURSES FOR WOMEN
Final Few Places Left On ‘Electrics Essentials’ Course : Sat 25th June 2011
Women and Manual Trades is a national organisation which has been supporting women in non-traditional jobs for over 35 years. We run one-day DIY courses teaching the basics of five different trades – Carpentry, Electrics, Plumbing, Painting & Decorating, and Tiling. All our training is delivered by professional tradeswomen.
Our final workshop before the summer break is a one-day course in Electrics, on Saturday 25th June 2011, 10am – 4pm – and we now have just a few places remaining.
This essential course is designed to teach the basics that every householder should know : the general principles of electricity, and how the standard home is wired up. Participants will get hands-on, learning how to wire a plug and change a fuse. You’ll also be taught the fundamental rules of safety – which is paramount when dealing with electricity! – and learn about legislation covering the work that unqualified people can undertake in the home.
Course places cost just £50 per woman, per day. This includes a light lunch, and all materials. You can book online now at http://www.wamt.org/store/
Please download the flyer attached to the posting on the WiLT mailing list for more information.
