Community Link Worker & Centre Coordinator – IMECE – 8th July 2011

IMECE Turkish Speaking Women’s Group is a women only charity providing a number of services to Turkish/Kurdish/Turkish Cypriot women.

All below posts need some experience of working with women, providing advice within a framework of Legal Services Commission and some understanding of issues effecting women, particularly gender based violence against women.

Community Link Worker

PT (14 hours a week)

Salary: £23,337 – £24,372 pro rata
(Funded until March 12 with a possibility of extension)

We have a vacancy for a Community Link Worker based in local Children’s Centres in Islington working within the framework of Safeguarding Children, with an extended brief to conduct outreach and networking duties.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative female worker to provide outreach family support to Turkish/Kurdish/Turkish Cypriot women with children under the age of five.

This post is funded by Islington Council

Centre Coordinator

P/T ( 21 hours a week)

Salary: £23,337 – £24,372 pro rata
(Funded until March 12 with a possibility of extension)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative female worker to join to IMECE to coordinate the activities involving in running a women only centre. The post holder will need to have experience in office administration, website and database maintenance, HR including staff, users, volunteers and membership records.

For both posts applicants will be fluent in Turkish and English. Kurdish is highly desirable.
