Last chance to enter the London Women’s 5K Sunday – Object – 11th September 2011
There’s still a few days left to enter the Women’s 5K challenge and join award winning comedian, Josie Long, eminent psychologist, author of the former Government’s Review into the Sexualisation of Young People, Dr. Linda Papadopoulos (‘Dr Linda’) and all of team OBJECT on Sunday, 11th September to raise funds for OBJECT’s vital campaigns.
Registration for the London Women’s 5k will close as soon as all the places have been filled and organisers estimate this will be in around a week. So there is no time to lose if you want to take part in this fantastic event.

OBJECT is an award-winning human rights organisation specifically set up to challenge the sexual objectification of women.
Our current campaigns include:
* Get Porn Out of Our Papers. We are campaigning to make sure Page 3 and all newspaper porn is seen as incompatible with a responsible press
* Stripping the Illusion. We have raised awareness of the realities of the lap dancing industry and ensured new laws so that strip clubs can now be licensed as part of the sex industry (rather than as cafes!) and are now supporting local people to ensure local councils make the right licensing choices.
* Demand Change! The campaign raises awareness of the realities of prostitution. It ensured new laws which make it a crime to buy sexual services from a woman who has been pimped or trafficked. We are now seeking to stem the explosion in the sex industry predicted during the 2012 Olympics.
