Stoning, a play by Ghazi Rabihavi – WAN – 6th September 2011

From 7pm at the Human Rights Action Centre, 17-25 New Inn Yard, London EC2A 3EA

WAN welcomes you to join us for a special performance of Ghazi Rabihavi’s play ‘Stoning’, a powerful piece that tells the story of a young Iranian woman who is arrested for inviting a solider into her home during the Iran-Iraq war. The play explores the position of women in Iranian society and their treatment in the Iranian justice system.

The play will be followed by a Q&A featuring, amongst others, the playwright and a researcher on Iran from Amnesty’s International Secretariat.

Admission is free but a £5 donation will be requested on the door towards the work of the Women’s Action Network. Book your place http://www.amnesty.org.uk/events_booking.asp?ID=1916#booking .

We look forward to seeing you there.

With best wishes,
The Women’s Action Network
