Women’s Health & Equality Consortium National Conference – Imkaan – 25th October 2011

The Women’s Health & Equality Consortium (WHEC) is a Strategic Partner to the Department of Health, and works to address women’s health inequalities across England. WHEC is a partnership of women’s organisations including Platform 51, FORWARD, Imkaan, Maternity Action, Positively UK, Rape Crisis, and the Women’s Resource Centre, all of which share the common goals of improved health and equality for girls and women.

WHEC’s FREE national conference aims to engage with rationale concerning the wider debate of health for the women’s sector, which will be useful for professionals working at all levels.

The event will bring together a variety of women led sectors to produce a day that is creative, exciting and influential.

The day will include a diverse group of speakers, and interactive workshops will focus on specific issues that may directly impact on your services and provide future growth sustainability.

Delegates will be given the opportunity to share contacts on a national scale and all will receive a Lobbying Toolkit at the close of day to aid promotion of services to government and commissioners as well as build on sustainable practices and increase confidence in engaging

This conference is FREE.

The conference is targeted at a range of sectors relevant to working around women’s health, including the women’s health and social sector, violence against women and girls, grass-roots and LBT services.

Travel from outside of London will be reimbursed for those experiencing financial difficulty.
