Female Policy and Campaigns Officer: London (PCO-1) at WISH

Hours: Part time – 22.5 hours per week (Currently fundraising to extend into a full-time role)
Salary: Scale NJC 32-34 – £30,351-£31,935 pa pro rata (incl. London weighting)
Closing date: 5pm on Monday 10th October 2011
Interviews: Week beginning 17th October 2011 in London

The Policy and Campaigns Officer will work with the Membership Officer in order to drive forward awareness, development and uptake of gender specific services for women at all levels of the Mental Health and Criminal Justice Systems and support women to influence policy and practice by:
* Supporting the development of a collective voice to ensure that women can influence policy and practice
* Taking forward women-led campaigns
* Profiling to policy makers the issues that women have identified as important to them
* Raising the profile of gender specific services at all levels of mental health service provision and within the criminal justice system

Must be aware of:
* Current policy and practice in women’s mental health and within the criminal justice systems
* Social and gender issues that impact on women’s mental health

Must be:
* Committed to women’s empowerment and developing Wish as a user led organisation

Must have experience in:
* Policy and campaigning
* Planning and report writing
