nia provides a wide range of services for women and children who have experienced sexual violence, domestic violence and other forms of gender violence.
Safe Choices – Leaving Care and Leaving Custody Project
This exciting new project sits under the Safe Choices Programme umbrella and aims to work with the most vulnerable young women who are leaving custody or leaving care. This partnership project brings together the expertise of The Children’s Society and nia to work in all London boroughs with young women leaving custody and 6 London boroughs per year with young women leaving care. This project is funded by the Big Lottery Youth in Focus programme until 2016.
nia will employ one Project Worker and one Sessional Worker (7 hours per week) to lead the work with young women in the boroughs north of the river Thames. The Project Worker is responsible for the development and delivery of all young women’s work and co-delivery group work with the Sessional Worker. You’ll also develop and deliver training to professionals. You’ll have significant experience of working with vulnerable young people leaving care and leaving custody and of serious youth violence, including gangs and sexual violence.

£25,301- 27,724 pa (including Inner London Weighting)
Based in Islington but including travel to all London boroughs and occasional travel outside London
• Sessional Worker
£15.00 per hour
Based in Islington but including travel to all London boroughs and occasional travel outside London
You’ll be employed under a contract of services, paid £15.00 per hour and will therefore be self-employed and responsible for taxation and National Insurance or similar liabilities or contributions in respect of fees and will be required to indemnity (organisation) against all liability for the same and any costs, claims or expenses including interest and penalties.
