Big Society and Inequality – Voice4Change England and Women’s Resource Centre Survey – closes 11th November 2011
Voice4Change England and the Women’s Resource Centre have been commissioned by the Office for Civil Society to provide advice to Government on:
• The challenges that inequalities present to the Big Society agenda and how to address them.
• The opportunities for tackling inequalities that the Big Society agenda offers.
The Big Society has been described by the Commission on Big Society as:
- A society in which power and responsibility have shifted: one in which, at every level in our national life, individuals and communities have more aspiration, power and capacity to take decisions and solve problems themselves, and where all of us take greater responsibility for ourselves, our communities and one another.
We want to hear from voluntary and community organisations focused on equality about what the Big Society means for you and your beneficiaries.
We will use your responses to let Government know about your experiences of the Big Society and to identify what steps can be taken to take advantage of opportunities, tackle challenges and to make sure that all communities benefit.
Please do not feel that you have to answer all the sections or all the questions – just fill in what is most relevant to you. The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete depending on how fully you answer the questions.
The deadline for responses is Friday 11th November 2011.
Please contact us if you need the survey in an alternative format.
