FORWARD is recruiting for the position of Youth Programme Intern

The internship enables the candidate opportunity to gain hands on experience of campaigning, facilitation, leadership and project management skills, by supporting the Youth Programme with direct delivery of the project.

Closing Date: 5pm, Tuesday 29th of November 2011.

Responsibilities include:
* Arranging and chairing fortnightly meetings with members of the youth programme and ensuring that the project is progressing towards its objectives and undertaking remedial action in response to any issues arising;
* Corresponding with other members of the youth group; updating social networks;
* Supporting FORWARD’s internal workshops, training and supporting other FORWARD events;
* Support the organization of other FORWARD events including conferences, consultation meetings, health bazaar, and informal networking events.
* Write short articles and reports where necessary to share information on the youth programme activities and issues pertaining to young women’s health and rights
* Co-manage logistics of YPSO activities with supervisor eg; prepare budgets, secure venues, organise refreshments

Commitment: Six months minimum contract Jan – Jun 2012.
Salary: £25/day
